Collected with his children on walks through city streets, alleys, railways, and vacant lots, Schlie’s ongoing Ray Gun P. S. (Proper Supplies) collection numbers over 300 to date. This piece, R-259, stores easily with a magnetic closure and inspection window.

Collected alone or with others on walks through city streets, laundromats, grocery stores, and universities, Malmed’s ongoing participation in the cultural feedback loop of bricolage, diffuse dawdling and the messy(,) antic logics of an art of the every other day. This piece, named after a number, will eventually start to shed its leaves, but to quote Didion “the mighty elm was once a nut like you”.

Bio

Kyle Schlie, 1980- , American entrepreneur, artist, and publisher, has been a pioneer on several fronts. He holds degrees in architecture, environmental design, fine art, and an honorary doctorate from the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
